He served as senior vice president in Hydro’s Oil & Energy business area from 1993 and was appointed senior vice president for projects on 1 January 2004.
He joined Hydro in 1980.
Mr Ruud has held numerous positions in Hydro’s Technology & Projects business area.
1982-89 Management positions within the Oseberg development project
1989-92 Project director for the Brage project
1992-96 Project director Troll Oil project
Responsible for operations on the Norwegian continental shelf from 1996-97
Responsible for International Exploration & Production from 1997-2004
Mr Ruud is the deputy chair of the Intsok Foundation.
Mr Ruud worked for Myrens Verksted and Kvaerner-Moss Inc. from 1976-1980
He received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1975. |
